Tired Twenties

I have had such a burden in the last few months for all us tired twenties. Has the ten years of being twenty always been this hard, or is it our generation with working moms and career women who have created the tired twenties syndrome? Am I the only tired twenties out there?

I feel like no matter how much sleep I get it is never enough, and no matter how much I get accomplished it never adds up or compares to all the Martha Stewart clean till you drop, look perfect, mom of the year achievers out there. And has anyone noticed that this group goes unnoticed among church groups? I mean where are all the young ladies at? It is few and far between that you will find an abundance of twenty something year old ladies involved in church, or churches having a focused group that reaches out to this demographic. However, it is in our twenties that women need God more than ever. For the most part, we have just graduated high school and have now been thrown into college to decided "what you will do with the rest your life" and then we fall in love get married and have kids (in that order for the most part :) ). And in the chaos of it all we loose ourselves completely. Not to mention we have no idea who we are in Christ or how we can be used by Him to reach the world from behind a stack of papers in the office or a pile of laundry at home.

Can you relate? If so please take the time and share with me your tired twenties story so I can seek out God through the eyes of this group to see how we can make a difference. After all, we are called not only to be transformed through Christ (Romans 12:2), but to also be transformers in our world (Mark 16:15).

Thanks ladies for your time and input!

Your "tired twenties" sister in Christ,

Kristi David
